Administration/Dosage
- Adults: SQ Fluid Administration: 150 U prior to start of SQ administration will facilitate absorption of ¡Ã1000mL sol. Individualize dose, rate of inj, and type of sol (eg, saline, glucose, Ringer\'s, etc.). Rate and volume should not exceed those for IV infusion. Dispersion and Absorption of Injected or SQ Infused Drugs: Give as preadministration or add 50-300 U (most typically 150 U) to the inj sol. SQ Urography: 75 U SQ over each scapula, followed by inj of contrast medium at the same sites.
